I worked with Sam and every single day working with him was a pleasure. I will miss his smile, his laugh and most of all his words of wisdom. No one could make me laugh like Sam did. I am sad I will never get the chance to have one last sandwich with him sat on a wall near a building site. I feel so lucky to have known Sam and spent so many good times with him. A kind, gentle, learned wise man who had the biggest heart. He always looked after me and would always go the extra mile to help you. My thoughts are with the family and friends he use to speak to fondly of and with so much love. I will miss you my old mate; your stories, your advice and most of all your larger then life character. You made such an impression on my life as I know you have so many others. Keep them in check up there and you will always hold a special place in my memories.
